get to know me a little
I love being a parent. My children are unbelievable. They bring me more joy than I could have imagined. Their curiosity, creativity, kindness and beauty inspire me to keep growing and becoming ever more my best self. I am so grateful that they are part of our family. Being a parent has been my greatest challenge. I have always known that I was on this earth to be a minister and a parent. Being able to live out these callings has exceeded my dreams.
I am a creative person. These days that manifests in mostly through making family costumes for us every Halloween and creating over the top themed birthday parties for my kids. I have loved to knit, crochet, paint, sing and dance throughout my life. However, finding time for creative endeavors has become more difficult as we've welcomed more children into our family. So, I find ways to channel my creativity into our lives in other ways that bring me joy.
I never expected my yoga practice to become a job. I just knew that my life was better when I made time to regularly get on the mat. I fell into teaching and it has been such a gift. Sharing something that has made such a difference in my life was profound. These days I relish being a student again and working on my beginners mind. Meditation through movement is deeply centering for me.
I feel deeply connected to the earth and its beautiful inhabitants. I find such joy in nature. Growing up spending summers on Cape Cod, the ocean has always held a special place in my heart. While I struggle to keep plants alive, I love having them in my home. I love finding ways to bring the natural world into my spaces.
I love adventure. I love to explore and take risks. I rise to a challenge.
Above all else, I love people. I am very extroverted. I am generally right the middle of a crowd. I thrive in vibrant communities where I can find gatherings of people. I love to people watch. I love to be inspired by bold fashion choices. I love to imagine who someone is. And more than anything, I love to discover people. To learn about them, to ask them questions about what feeds them and what scares them, to share with them who I am. I love to surround myself with interesting, challenging, loving people. People are my greatest love.
